80% Federally Funded Program for new hires in Alameda County!
Leslie Golden ASLA, LEED AP - Jan 13,10 10:13PM

There is special funding from the Federal Government's ARRA (American Recovery and Re-investment Act), a new Subsidized Employment Program (SEP). This program is designed to allow an employer to be reimbursed up to 80% of paid wages for any new hires that are eligible under this program.

The Oakland Private Industry Council, has an established partnership with the Alameda County Social Services Agency, whos primary goals are to identify, train and pre-screen low-income Alameda County residence for employment opportunities. They have been highly successful in placing over 2,000 qualified candidates in jobs this year alone. With the establishment of this new subsidized program, we anticipate that this number will certainly be higher in the New Year.

The program kicked off on January 4, 2010, so if you are planning to increase your current workforce - they have a number of qualified, pre-screened candidates who have already identified as eligible for the program. You will be reimbursed 80% of their salary for the first six months of employment. I personally have hired a really exceptual Business Administrator! You need to call the number below to see if you would qualify for the program as an employer or Client(employee- needs to be an Alameda Resident).
