Rene Cravatt and Natalie Franz are partners and they wanted to have a fashionable, luxurious yet cozy space to make their clients feel at home. They are two female professionals; one fashion designer and the other one a chef. They wanted to combine their exquisite cupcakes with fashion and that’s how Cupcake Couture was born.
The design concept was corset which is a couture and high fashion garment. Corset has curves, trimming, lace, satin, and beautiful colors similar to the way a cupcake has all the ingredients, frosting, sprinkles, and wrapping. Intricate details add up to create Cupcake Couture.

The cupcakes are the most important thing in the store and the cupcake display is placed right across the entrance door in order to emphasize the focal point. The open kitchen behind the display allows people to be a part of the cupcake making process and surrounds the store with a delicious smell. The damask wallpaper on the walls, the cut out lace screen behind the cupcake display, and bright colors used throughout the store are all representing the corset.
