On Saturday January 19th, a group of OWA+ DP members gathered in front of the San Francisco Civic Center - the official starting point of the Women's March.
This year steering committee worked on a 7 feet long banner. All members showed up in black outfit with an accent color accessory.

March began at 1:30 PM from Civic Center, down Market Street to Embarcadero (approximately 1.7 miles). It was a great event where the older and newer generations of OWA members could meet and walk together. From steering committee Bridget Basham, Leslie Golden, Allison Kinst and Maryam Moayey Nia and OWA memebrs Janet Crane, Helen Vasquez, Leslie Moldow, Karlene Gullone, Jamie Brown and one of her friend marched together. Also Build Like a Girl joined us and we walked together through the March
.
This year's theme was #TruthToPower and celebrating the #WomensWave. For information regarding 'Unity Principles or Why We March?" please visit this page.

We are excited to announce that we will have a business forum on Tuesday 26th, from 7 -9pm. The focus of the forum is centered around the question, "how do you structure your business to support your values?"

In this forum, panelists from around the Bay Area will discuss how they came to structure/ how they hope to structure their business based on their individual and professional values. The business structures relevant to the Architectural Profession that will be discussed include B Corporations, Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOPS), and Cooperatives.

The Organization of Women Architects and Design Professionals' mission is to support women designers in all aspects of their professional and personal life. This event is proudly mission-oriented. Together with our guests Renaissance Entrepreneurship Richmond, we strive to support and provide opportunities for women and minorities into leadership positions and financial independence.

This event is open to all.

On April 27, 2019, Rebuilding Together San Francisco will hold its third annual SHEBUILDS community project. SHE BUILDS is an annual initiative run and completed entirely by women, for female headed homes and women's shelters. Together with local companies, tradeswomen, and community partners, they will repair homes and community facilities with volunteer teams powered by women.
The 3rd Annual SheBuilds Program happening April 27th is looking for volunteers. If you want to volunteer, please use this link to indicate you want to be contacted for volunteering for SHE Builds 2019.
