The Bolinas Museum hosts an annual invitational show of artworks 6" x 6" or smaller, as a fundraiser each year. This year's exhibit dates are Nov 20, 2010-Jan 2, 2011, and there will be several hundred pieces on display.
The opening is Saturday afternoon, Nov 20, from 3-5pm. Sales are brisk during the opening, I'm told, so plan a day's outing for Nov 20 if you would like to see the best work, and come early.
I chose the Agate Beach County Park tidepools for my oil painting subjects on mahogany cigar boxes. The fractured shale rock formations are quite architectural in character, and on Nov 20 there's a minus low tide which coincides with sunset at about 5pm. Email me if you would like directions.
