NAWIC Event March 12

Lucia Bogatay - Mar 13, 2014 8:06PM

Wednesday March 12

This is your opportunity to gain insight from a leading professional in her field, Dr. Kellie McElhaney, and network with other great women in the local industry.

After helping more than 150 companies develop corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies, including many Fortune 500 companies, Kellie A. McElhaney, founder of the Haas Center for Responsible Business, encapsulated her advice in a new book, Just Good Business: The Strategic Guide To Aligning Corporate Responsibility and Brand. One of the most respected experts on CSR practices, McElhaney shows business leaders how to develop the right CSR initiatives-ones that accentuate a company's overall brand-while also offering practical business tools to ensure that those activities are effectively communicated and branded internally and externally.

Kellie A. McElhaney is the John C. Whitehead Adjunct Professor and the founding Faculty Director of the Center for Responsible Business at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focus is in three areas: (1) Analyzing and developing companies' CSR strategy and its alignment with corporate strategy, business objectives, core competencies, and business value; (2) Exploring the linkage between diversity and CSR and using CSR as a hook to re-engage women with business as employees, consumers, and investors; (3) The business value and opportunities in branding, communication and CSR.

Do not miss this great opportunity to hear her speak as we celebrate NAWIC's 2014 Women in Construction Week.
