OWA Mentorship Program – Official Launch

The time has finally come to exchange resources and enjoy time with fellow professionals sharing similar interests! Take action to connect with a mentor/mentee of your choice. OWA members who are interested in the program are listed at this web address: www.owa-usa.org/mentor.php Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the hyperlinks to the Mentors list and the Mentees list. From there, you can click on “Interests” to learn more about each person. Or simply click on their name to view their complete profile. Please note, this list is only available to OWA members. You must log-in to the OWA website before you can view it. To navigate to the page within the OWA website, simply click on Program/Events in the left-hand column, scroll down and click on Mentorship Program, and scroll down to the bottom of that page for the “Mentors are here” and “Mentees are here” hyperlinks. Mentees, don’t hesitate to ask a fellow mentee to serve as your mentor. They may be able to provide more up-to-date information about the architecture licensing exams, etc. Once you’ve established contact, plan to meet regularly. The best teams are those that are mutually beneficial to both parties. Some recommendations for meetings include touring offices, sharing lessons learned from projects, and attending professional events, tours, or other activities together.
