Location: AECOM 150 Chestnut Street San Francisco, CA. 94111 map Ms. McWalter will provide an introduction to the science and technology of constructed wetlands in relation to water sensitive urban design strategies. She will use case studies from around the world to demonstrate the successful integration of constructed wetlands into the urban environment at a variety of scales. Ms. McWalter is an Ecological Engineer with AECOM in San Francisco, CA. Specializing in water sensitive urban design and low impact development, she has worked on projects across the United States and around the world including China, Canada, India, Chile and Australia. Within the larger framework of green infrastructure, her practice focuses on constructed wetland design for stormwater and wastewater treatment and stormwater management in the urban landscape. Ms. McWalter received her Master of Engineering at the University of Florida, Center for Wetlands, in 2000 and her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering at the University of Florida in 1998. |
