"Architecture and the Spectaculture" Joan Ockman is the Director of Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the study of American Architecture at Columbia University where she has taught history and theory of architecture since 1985. Her essays and reviews have appeared in ANY, Journal of Architectural Historian, and Architecture as well as a number of anthologies including "Autonomy and Ideology: Positioning an Architectural Avant Grade in Northern America" and "The Sex of Architecture."
