The OWA would like to have members exhibit their work in conjunction with the OWA 40th Anniversary Symposium to be held in April this year at UC Berkeley in Wurster Hall. We are offering the opportunity to submit your work in two different mediums: 42" x 60" sheets, to be posted on the gallery walls, and a PowerPoint presentation that will be displayed on a monitor in the main foyer of Wurster Hall.

Event: 2013 Bay to Breakers Run
Date: Sunday, May 19th, 2013
Venue: San Francisco

Contact: Email Suzanne Stewart to set up a mutually convenient time to start training to participate in this event. Interested members, plan to meet at various location around Berkeley and beyond on Saturday mornings. Training will start with a run and/or walk. Initial training distance will be one mile and will build on that distance each week.

The OWA is making t-shirts for the Bay to Breakers Event and for the Cruise. Although pre-ordering is ended you can see what the shirt will look like here. Please contact Rosemary Muller if you would like to buy one.

"40 + 10 Celebrating Ourselves & Our Work" is this year's theme: sharing the experiences that have brought us together over the past 40 years, and looking forward to the next decade.

Ten years ago our OWA 30th anniversary trip to Ecuador gave us wonderful memories to last a lifetime. Sadly, due to logistics, we had to limit the size of our group. For our 40th in 2013, your anniversary committee plans to book a group Mediterranean cruise that can accommodate all, including spouses and friends. We need to know how many plan to join the group in order to know how many cabins to reserve. A head count will help us to negotiate our terms with the cruise and air lines.

We sail on the MSC Divinia out of Venice on October 5th 2013. Please let us know if you plan to join us and how many in your party. Husbands, significant others, family members and friends are welcome.
