The Design Principal of her award-winning firm, Darlene has over twenty-five years of experience focusing on museums, supportive housing and educational projects. The firm has designed award-winning projects, including the Chinese Historical Society of America Museum, the San Francisco Tenderloin Community School and Child Development Center and the Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara, CA. Darlene will present some of her work with an eye towards showing how her career has been about the inspirations and the people that guided her journey into design and what that has meant to her over the years. Her work is not so much about the buildings as it is about places to inspire the human spirit, to encourage timeless enrichment and to inspire human interaction with and through the spaces. She feels she is giving back to communities through her projects for families, children and communities. Darlene invites everyone, friends and designers, to come and find inspirations that fuel the notions of design and creative energy. Please RSVP to kellie@aiaeb.org to ensure refreshments for all! |
